New Delhi: Even as Prime Minister Narendra Modi has been espousing the cause of Make in India in a bid to make the country a manufacturing hub and boost the economy, his own party is yet to fully adopt the agenda.
The Bharatiya Janata Party has issued "Made in China" media pass holder for Modi's "jansabha" (rally) on January 31 at the CBD Ground in Delhi's Shahadra. The media passes for the rally with "Made in China" tag were distributed at the Delhi BJP office in Pandit Pant Marg on Friday.
Modi's jansabha will be held at 3 PM in CBD Ground, Shahdara, targeting the voters in East and North East Delhi.
On September 25, 2014, Modi launched his "Make in India" mission and urged industrialists to set up establishments in their homeland instead of eyeing foreign lands. He also gave the slogan of 'First Develop India' (FDI).
Even on the Republic Day, there was a tableaux on the "Make in India" theme with a mechanical lion which was applauded by all including US President Barack Obama, who was the chief guest at the event .
Earlier this month on January 10, Modi addressed his first rally in the national capital targeting both the Congress and Aam Aadmi Party.
