Blast in Doda, eight people injured

Srinagar: Eight people including three CRPF jawans were injured in a blast at Doda. The blast occured outside a hotel at the Doda bus stand.

Meanwhile, two militants were killed in separate encounters in Jammu and Kashmir, official sources said on Friday.

An unidentified militant was killed in an ongoing gunbattle with the security forces in Pulwama district of south Kashmir, the sources said.

The encounter began this morning when militants hiding in a house in Khrew area fired at the security forces, who cordoned off Khar mohalla in the area, the sources said, adding one militant was killed in the ongoing gunbattle.

Another militant was killed at Machoo in Budgam district last night. One AK47 rifle, two magazines and a few rounds were recovered from him.
