KOCHI: Spiritualism and materialism go hand in hand when it comes to the success of a man. You cannot eschew one and embrace the other. Both elements are inevitable to succeed in life, Swami Udith Chaithanya has said. He was referring to the dialogue between Parikshit and Suka, as narrated in the Bhagavatam, in a Bhagavata discourse programme organised by Sukrutam Bhagavatha Yajna Samithi. He said that Bhagavatam completely repudiates the notion of young generation that spirituality is against materialism which also offers reasonable justification. “The life of Parikshit is an apt example for it. Though death has cast its shadow on his life, he never broke his ties with the world. “He struggled and won his life with spirituality,” he said. He said that a man should uphold the axiom ‘Tatvamasi’ and the mind should be perceived as the sanctum sanctorum.
