A case has been registered against an engineering college student for allegedly leaking Rajiv Gandhi Prodyogiki Vishwavidyalaya (RGPV) examination paper on the mobile messaging service WhatsApp, a police officer said on Wednesday.

The case was registered against the student Rahul Sharma, based on a complaint by a private engineering college's senior examination superintendent, lodged at the Rajendra Nagar police station.

Sharma had allegedly leaked the Bachelor of Engineering fourth semester examination's Digital Electronics paper held on June 9, about two hours before the examination on WhatsApp, he said.

The officer informed that one Shashank Dixit sent the question paper to Sharma, after which he forwarded it to a few others. He said that Sharma has not yet been arrested and efforts are on to trace him as well as his mobile phone through which he allegedly leaked the paper.
