HYDERABAD: The Central Bureau of Investigation has also been affected by the ongoing general strike by state government employees.Following the strike, the premier investigating agency has not been able to obtain certain files and question lower rung staff of government departments in connection with the Emaar scam and the alleged illegal assets case involving Kadapa MP YS Jagan Mohan Reddy.Sources told Express that though the field work of CBI is going on, the Sakala Janula Samme has affected the CBI probe to some extent."We were not able to obtain certain files from the Secretariat as the staff are on strike.Likewise, we were not able to question them and our probe has been hampered," official sources said.They said like many others, they too are waiting for the situation to turn normal."Time is running out but we have no choice but to wait," sources added.Meanwhile, CBI will question field-level officers for the next two days in connection with the illegal mining case involving ex-Karnataka minister Gali Janardhan Reddy.Representatives of some companies and bankers presented themselves before CBI at Dilkusha guest house on Monday and reportedly provided certain details of transactions in Emaar case.A CBI team also paid a visit to Ongole on Monday and recorded statements of several persons who sold their lands to the Vanpic company at throwaway prices.
