Chief engineer in vigilance net

BHUBANESWAR: Chief Engineer of Orissa State Water Supply Prasanta Kumar Panigrahy came under Vigilance raids on Tuesday over allegations of accumulating assets disproportionate to known sources of his income.During the raids, the anticorruption sleuths found wealth to the tune of `1.02 crore from Panigrahy’s possession.His immovable assets stood at `67.49 lakh which included a doublestorey building and four small houses, two MIG houses (all in Berhampur) and two more houses in Bhubaneswar.Similarly, his movable wealth included three cars whose combined value was `9.55 lakh while his deposits in banks and other institutions stood at a whopping `24.82 lakh.The Vigilance has found a locker in Indian Overseas Bank in Bapuji Nagar.
