City cop gets award for courageous work
Rajeswari was the only non-IPS officer to be presented an award at the Thrissur conference.

Recognising her courageous work at the recently concluded 5th National Conference for Women in Police, a woman police inspector from the Greater Chennai city police was presented with an award. The conference that was held in Thrissur, Kerala and organised by the Kerala Police in collaboration with the Bureau of Police Research and Development, New Delhi saw police inspector Rajeswari receiving an award for her courageous work. The woman police inspector was the only non-IPS officer to win an award at the conference.

The fifth edition of the women conference held between July 25 and 27 saw over 200 women IPS officials and police officials from across states taking part. Representing the Tamil Nadu Police, a team of officials headed by Lakshmi Prasad, Additional Director General of Police, with Balanagadevi, DIG, Uma, Superintendent of Police and Rajeswari, Police Inspector, Central Crime Branch, Greater Chennai City Police were present at the conference. KN Sharma, Director, Bureau of Police Research and Development, presented the award to Rajeswari.

Receiving the award, Rajeswari met JK Tripathy, Commissioner of Police, Greater Chennai City, on Monday as a token of respect and showed him the award she had won. P Thamaraikannan, Additional Commissioner of Police, Law and Order, and RS Nallasivam, Joint Commissioner of Police, Intelligence Section, were present.
