KOCHI: The Leo Club of Ernakulam has undertaken a unique mission of renovating a few classrooms of CCPLM Anglo Indian School and installed two UV water filters with a capacity of 500 litres. The project was inaugurated by Hibi Eden MLA on Wednesday at 9 a.m. The meeting was presided by Leo Club president Sruthi Devidas and Lions District Governor Dr T A Varkey, Das Mankidi (ex- Lions governor), President Paul Vithayathi.The club, which is the youth wing unit of the Leo Club International, turned the project a reality under the leadership of Sruthi Devidas, the president of Leo Club of Ernakulam. The help of other executive members of the club were also sought in realising the project. The project also aims at getting the walls of the standard 1 classroom painted with cartoons to give it a better look.Sruthi is a student at FISAT Engineering College, Angamaly. It was her parents Dr Devidas Vellodi and Sasikala, both members of Lions movement, who inspired her to take up the project.
