KOCHI: The Cochin Shipyard which has taken a proud spot on the map of Kerala is a dream come true for its people. It lauds the sacrificial nature of the people of Perumanoor who gave up their land for the great project.Giving priority to development and progress of the country, the people let go of the land belonging to their forefathers without a word of protest. The Sikhs willingly offered their only gurudwara in Kerala for the purpose. It has been 50 years since the land acquisition was done. The Fraternity of Cochin Shipyard Evictees scattered in and around the city are getting together for the golden jubilee celebrations, of the generous move, to be held on January 9.
