Members of Opposition Congress entered the state Assembly wearing black aprons demanding a CBI probe into the MP Professional Examination Board (MPPEB) scam and relief for farmers affected by rains and hailstorm, on the opening day of the session on Monday.
Congress members, led by the Leader of Opposition Satyadev Katare marched into the House wearing black aprons demanding a CBI inquiry into the MPPEB scam and relief for the rain or hailstorm-hit farmers written on them.
Congress members, including Katare, Sanjay Pathak and Mahendra Singh Kalukheda have also given a notice under Rule 139 for discussion on the issue of the affected farmers. Kalukheda initiated the discussion on the issue demanding adequate assistance to the farmers and also alleged that the government is not serious on the issue. The discussion remained inconclusive on Monday. The state Finance Minister Jayant Mallaiya also presented the vote-on-account for 2013-14.
