HYDERABAD: Days after arresting two persons for peddling drugs like LSD and Ecstasy, police on Friday seized a consignment of banned substances meant to be supplied to one of the accused.A few days back, West Zone police conducted Operation Marcus and arrested two persons, Anthony alias John of Mangalore and Dheeraj Nayak of Hyderabad and seized 367 Ecstasy pills and 62 blots of LSD. The duo were getting the drugs from a person, Frank in Netherlands. During interrogation, Dheeraj told police another consignment was scheduled to arrive from Netherlands. “The consignment was booked in Amsterdam by Frank through a parcel service, TNT which has a tie-up with Indian postal services.Police informed the postal department about the consignment coming from Netherlands and also kept a watch at Dheeraj’s house opposite railway gate in Khairatabad,’’ Langerhouz inspector GSridhar said.The consignment was seized on Friday when a postman came to Dheeraj’s house and was about to leave the place after finding the house locked.Police recovered 65 gm of cocaine and three papers of LSD blots with each paper having 500 blots.
