BODI: As a part of the plan to block roads leading to Kerala from Tamil Nadu on Wednesday, 10,000 persons from Bodi have decided to join the agitation at Bodi Mettu.MDMK general secretary Vaiko has called for blockades on 13 roads leading to Kerala to prevent movement of vehicles transporting food items and other materials from TN to Kerala, to condemn their move to build a new dam and decommission the Mullaiperiyar dam.Vaiko and Pazha Nedumaran will lead the agitation along Cumbum-Kumili highway. P V Kathiravan, MLA, and All India Forward Bloc State general secretary, president of the Bharathiya Forward Bloc Muruganji, district secretaries of MDMK and others will participate in the blockade here.A group of 10,000 people from Bodi have decided to go in procession from Thevar statue in the town to Bodi Mettu where they will resort to picketing. Members of all political parties, traders associations and farmers have decided to join the agitation. Large posses of police personnel have been deployed in Bodi to prevent the procession from proceeding further. All check-posts have also been strengthened.
