Dhenkanal Mahotsav inaugurated

DHENKANAL: The 13th Dhenkanal Mahotsav and Pallishree Mela was inaugurated by the Women and Child Development Minister, Anjali Behera in the Mini Stadium here on Thursday.Visitors thronged the 200 stalls at the mela organised by Orissa Rural Development and Marketing Society (ORMAS). “The mela provides an opportunity to SHGs to display their products including sarees, spices, pickles, wood works and handicrafts,” informed Nigam Das, Chief Executive of ORMAS Dhenkanal unit.Behera appreciated the  efforts of the district administration in providing a platform to local talents  during the Laxmi Puja.   While the mahotsav will continue for five days, the mela is on till the immersion ceremony.
