The policy is a `kashayam’ (ayurvedic concoction) to solve all land issues, including Nelliampathy,” Mani said. “By firing a shot at Nelliampathy, attempts should not be there to target all farmers in the state,” he insisted.He also said that  the tenure of  the  legally firm lease agreements should be extended, which was approved by the LDF government also. On the role of Government Chief Whip  P C George  in precipitating the Nelliampathy issue he felt sorry for all the misgivings.“The party stand will be spelt out by me  in the capacity of  chairman and none else,” he asserted and played down the Thrissur vigilance court’s directive to probe a complaint against him  and George.  “All allegations are false, baseless and intended to malign me.
