HYDERABAD: Unable to bear the harassment of her husband for more dowry, a 27yearold woman committed suicide by hanging herself at Kukatpally on Monday.According to the police, A Neelima was married to Harikrishna, a software engineer of Venkatram Nagar in April 2010. The couple got a 11monthold baby girl. Harikrishna started harassing Neelima for the past few days demanding additional dowry. The couple quarrelled with each other on the issue. Neelima called up her father Ramakrishna in Nellore this morning, and told him that she was not able to bear the harassment of her husband for more dowry. She disconnected the phone abruptly. Around 10.30 am, she hanged herself. In a suicide note, she reportedly stated that she took the extreme step due to harassment of her husband. Based on a complaint by Neelima's parents, a case was registered against Harikrishna and his brother.
