BANGALORE: A rag picker was killed by his two friends after the trio had a quarrel.The incident was reported on Thoppa Mudaliar Street near Quadrant circle under Commercial Street police station limits, on Friday night.The deceased has been identified as Raju (26). Police said the victim’s friends, Richard and Stephi were behind the murder and they were on the look out for the accused, who are absconding after the incident.According to the police, the trio had consumed alcohol on Friday evening, following which there was quarrel between Raju and the two accused over a trivial issue.However, Raju had left his friends and moved to a showroom near Quadrant Circle to sleep.His friends, Richard and Stephi followed him and continued the quarrel. Reportedly, the duo assaulted Raju and while he tried to escape, he accidentally fell down.In a fit of rage, the duo allegedly smashed his head with a cement brick and killed him on the spot and fled from the spot, the police said.Commercial Street police have registered a case of murder and launched investigations to trace the accused.
