BANGALORE: A couple committed suicide by hanging themselves at their residence in Kodigehalli second cross on Wednesday. It is suspected that fighting over trivial issues might have led them to take the extreme step. The deceased have been identified as Ramachandra (33), who was working in a beverage manufacturing company and Akshatha (24).The couple had married four years ago and had rented a house in the second floor of a building in Kodigehalli second cross. They have a three-year-old daughter.According to the police, some of their neighbours heard the couple’s child crying in the morning. When they went to check what had happened, they found the couple hanging and informed the police. “It is suspected that it is Akshatha who first committed the suicide. She had slept in the room with her daughter and might have hanged herself late in the night. Ramachandra, who was sleeping in the drawing room, woke up in the morning and have tried to wake his wife up. When she did not open the room door, he forcibly broke open the door. Finding his wife dead, he has ended his life by hanging himself from the ceiling,” the police added. Akshatha had left behind a suicide note claiming herself responsible for her death. The couple used to quarrel over trivial issues and it is suspected this could be the reason behind the incident.
