File fresh complaint against Anna: Court to police
Delhi Police earlier filed a complain against Anna Hazare for instigating people against the government.

New Delhi: A Delhi court on Monday asked the city police to file a fresh status report with documentary proof on a complaint against Anna Hazare and his team for "instigating" people against the government during their recent anti-graft campaign, allegedly resulting in the death of a youth.

The court, which was scheduled to pass an order on the complaint filed by Haryana native Satbir Singh against Anna and his team, felt the status report filed by the police on September 16 was not backed by any documentary evidence and therefore sought a fresh report.

"Notice be issued to the Station House Officer (of Kamla Market police station) along with a copy of this order to file a fresh status report along with documentary proof of permission and the recorded cassettes of speeches of respondents (Anna and his team) and also to file documentary proof regarding death of the youth Sandeep for further consideration of the court," Metropolitan Magistrate Tyagita Singh said.

The court has directed the Delhi Police to file its fresh report on October 3.

Quoting a news report, Satbir Singh had alleged that Sandeep(21) had participated in Hazare's hunger strike and died of pneumonia for which he had held Team Anna responsible.

Delhi Police had on September 16 told the court that no criminal case is made out against Hazare and his team. Regarding the plea in the complaint that Hazare had instigated the people to lay a siege of the houses of Members of Parliament and ministers to press their demands, the police had said they have not received any complaint in this regard.
