New Delhi: A high-level BCCI security team will visit Pakistan next week to inspect facilities and security arrangements ahead of India's tour early next year.

The cricket board annouced this on Tuesday after the home minstry cleared the tour.

In a significant decision the Government has also cleared Karachi as one of the Test venues where India had refused to play a Test in 2004.

The Indian team will reach Pakistan on January 5 and then play Tests in Lahore, Faisalabad and Karachi from January 13, 21 and 29.

This will be followed by five One-Day internationals in Peshawar, Rawalpindi, Lahore, Multan and Karachi in February.

Media coordinator of the BCCI, Rajeev Shukla, said that there is no problem with regrds to Karachi as the Test venue.

He added that the team would visit the venue before the match and see the security arrangements themselves.

The Home ministry has also suggested some security measures which the Pakistan Government has accepted.

The Indian team would be getting the same security as that is given to the President of Pakistan.
