CHENNAI: Four country-made guns and 43 bullets were recovered from the house at Kodungaiyur in which Yuvaraj, who was kidnapped by four of his friends on February 26, was kept. According to police, Hasan Khan, one of the kidnappers, was found in his house at Red Hills. Investigation showed that P Vijay, an engineering student, 16-year-old K Vinay (name changed), a class XI student, and Anwar Khan and Hasan Khan, running a plastic recycling business here, arrived at Yuvaraj’s house on 12th West Cross Street in MKB Nagar on Monday and took him with them on the pretext of going out.The group hired a car and went sightseeing to Mahabalipuram and an entertainment park on East Coast Road. On returning to the city, Vinay went back to his house in Sharma Nagar, while Yuvaraj, Anwar and Vijay went to the latter’s residence in Kodungaiyur. Police claimed that the ransom call was made from there. Investigation showed that the Khan brothers had been staying in Red Hills for the last few years. Their father Ishrar Ahmed Khan, who had several cases against him, was serving term in a Uttar Pradesh prison. He had handed over the small arms and ammunition to his sons, police said. Yuvaraj was handed over to his parents.
