Hardcore woman Maoist arrested

DEOGARH: Deogarh Police arrested a hardcore woman Maoist, identified as Nalini Biswal, (26) from her house at Debtadar village under Riamal police limits on Sunday.Deogarh SP Chittaranjan Das said Nalini was picked during a combing operation.During interrogation, she admitted to her presence during an encounter with the police in the forest of Barkhol and Ranigola in 2006 in which seven Maoists were killed.Nalini had joined the outfit while in school in 2005 after coming in contact with Sulochana Garnaik, who led the women’s wing of the outfit in Deogarh-Sambalpur region.She was inducted into the outfit with a promise of ` 5,000, Das added.Das said Nalini was married to Kunu Dehuri and had delivered a child in Ersama of Jagatsinghpur district.Later, she travelled back to the district through Cuttack and Bisra in Sundargarh.The Sambalpur Police had arrested her and she was on bail, Das added.Nalini has been arrested again for three cases, including seizure of explosives, pending against her in Raimal Police Station
