BANGALORE: The High Court on Friday directed the state government to file a report on rehabilitation area near heritage site Hampi in five days, and asked the shopkeepers to file a report on their living location on a petition seeking rehabilitation of Hampi residents and shopkeepers.Petitioners Bhairaveshwari and 26 others said they were doing business in Hampi mantapas for five decades, and the government was shifting them to Kaddi Rampura, a burial site.The government, in its submission, said the mantapas would be renovated and given to shopkeepers with licence. There were 5-6 graves in the 16 acre site allotted to them.The Division Bench, headed by Chief Justice Vikramjit Sen, directed the state to submit a report on the number of graves in five days and the petitioners to file a report in three days on where they were living
