BANGALORE: The High Court on Wednesday ordered Colonel Ramadeep Singh to appear before the court in connection with a petition challenging the closure of road connectivity at Domlur adjacent to Defence land.The division bench comprising acting Chief Justice Vikramajit Sen and A S Bopanna hearing a petition filed by residents of Amara Jyothi Layout, who have moved the court seeking directions to BBMP to provide an alternative road to the residents whose road was threatened to be blocked by Armoured Service Corps (ASC) claiming it to be their property, directed the defence officer to be personally present in the court to find a solution to the problem.Earlier, BBMP Commissioner Siddaiah submitted that they have provided an alternative road to Sharadamma Layout, while the road connectivity to the Krishna Reddy layout has not been provided.He also submitted that in a joint meeting, it was proposed to defence to make use of the land and the ownership be retained with them.Assistant Solicitor Kalyan Basavraj submitted that BBMP should ensure alternative road, till then public will use the Defence road for connectivity.
