In order to provide a platform to discuss latest and innovative concepts in the field of marketing, Human Resources and Finance, the department of Business studies, Hindustan College of Arts and Science will host ‘ICON ‘12 - Competitive Business Strategies for Sustainable Development’ between September 13 and 14.
Focusing on the business strategies essential to identify the present strength and weaknesses in businesses in India, research papers on marketing, human resource management and finance will be presented at the conference.
The conference is open for academic scholars, business scholars and entrepreneurs. The department of business studies will compile 100 research papers into a book that will be released during the conference.
Susan Marthandan, director, Hindustan Arts and Science College said that the conference will also give scope for people to understand the present government policies.
“Through the conference, we hope to study the government policies in place for new ventures and also have an analysis done to identify the opportunities and threats. In line with the objective of the conference, we have received papers from various educational institutions in Pune, Mumbai, Bengaluru, Hyderabad and Tamil Nadu,” she added.
She also explained that the conference will throw light on competitive future challenges which a business could face.
Annie Merril Ingram, professor, Davidson College, North Carolina, USA and Vikram Cotah, senior vice president, Radisson Hotel and resorts will inaugurate the conference.
