BANGALORE: The High Court on Friday adjourned hearing on a petition filed by former chief minister B S Yeddyurappa, seeking to quash two corruption cases filed against him, till January 9.Justice Anand Byrareddy who heard the case, after the completion of submission by Yeddyurappa’s counsel Jayakumar S Patil, adjourned the case for further arguments.Earlier, Patil submitted that sanction was not accorded for prosecution in certain offences made out in the complaint, tor which the Justice questioned where does the sanction order say that sanction was accorded only in certain cases. HC Stay on Veerashaiva Mahasabha VacatedThe High Court on Friday vacated the interim stay it had granted on conducting elections for the post of president and office-bearers of Veerashaiva Mahasabha.Earlier, some members of the Mahasabha had approached the court seeking to quash the calendar of events on grounds that it was not in accordance with the bylaws. Tumkur DC Somashekhar, who was appointed as administrator of Mahasabha, explained that elections would be held in accordance with the bylaws.
