Akshay Kumar's 'Holiday', which focuses on terrorism and sleeper cells, managed to find several takers in UAE. The film, which has been produced by Vipul Shah and features Sonakshi Sinha, has earned $332,000 (Rs 1.96 crore) on its first day.
Trade analyst took to twitter to share the film's first day box office collection figure. "#Holiday continues its glorious march in UAE-GCC - Fri $ 332,000 [1.96 cr]. Highest ever single day gross for Akshay starrer in UAE-GCC," his tweet read.
Looks like Vipul's perspective about 'Holiday' not being a typical Akshay Kumar film has worked in favour of his recent Bollywood project.
"It is not a typical Akshay Kumar film where I am doing fun and comedy all the time. Yes, there is a little bit of comic element in 'Holiday', but otherwise it's a serious thriller," Vipul has said in one of his recent interviews.
