I turned down 'Die Hard': Al Pacino
Al Pacino admits having regrets about some of the roles he turned down.

London: Veteran star Al Pacino is convinced he gave Bruce Willis his big break in Hollywood by turning down the lead role in 'Die Hard'.

The 'Godfather' star has revealed he was one of the first actors approached to play tough cop John McClane in the 1988 blockbuster, but he passed on the script, reported Daily Mirror.

"I gave that boy a career! You know who else I gave a career to? Harrison Ford in 'Star Wars' - that role was mine for the taking but I couldn't understand the script," he said.

The 73-year-old compared himself to Jennifer Lawrence, who is currently at the height of her career, saying, "I was the one. Things came to me." But he admitted having regrets about some of the roles he had turned down. "I'm not a very good judge of what's good."
