New Delhi: Achanta Sharath Kamal, India's top table tennis player has been invited to play at the Killerspin Holiday Open in Chicago, which is the most popular even in the sport in the United States.
The Indian paddler is one of the 10 players invited from all over the world to take part in the elite competition.
"This is a great honour for me and to Indian table tennis as I have been invited to play alongside some big names in the game," Sharath said.
Much like the invitational ATP event like the year ending Tennis Masters, the tournament only involves top players of the game.
Kamal won two medals at the Commonwealth Games in Melbourne earlier this year and made it to the semi-final of an ITF Protour event.
