BANGALORE: The designated CBI court on Friday remanded former Tourism Minister Janardana Reddy and his aide Ali Khan in judicial custody. Later, the duo were shifted to Parappana Agrahara Central Prison. The court adjourned the further hearing of the case till March 24.As the period of CBI custody of the duo ended on Friday, the CBI sleuths produced the duo before the court at the premises of the Central Prison. As the CBI officials had completed the interrogation of the duo in connection with the illegal mining in the state, the Judge B M Angadi remanded the duo in judicial custody.The Public Prosecutor of the CBI, Shivananda Perla, said that the further argument in connection with Reddy’s bail plea would be done in the court on March 24. Around 4 pm, the duo were sent to the Central Prison. Reddy has been kept in Room No 5 of the high security building of the prison, while Khan has been kept in Room No 4 of the same building. Both have been allowed to get home food as the court has permitted them for that, the prison officials said.Reddy was brought to the city from Chanchalguda jail in Hyderabad Jail by the CBI sleuths on March 2. Reddy’s associate Khan had surrendered before the court on the same day.
