TIRUCHY: Miscreants had stolen 11 sovereigns of jewels and ` 25,000 in cash from the house of one A Mohammed Rafeek (25) here on Friday. It is said, the betrothal of Mohammed Rafeek was held with a girl from Senthaneerpuram here on Thursday. After the programme, the family members of Rafeek reached their house in Tharanallur. When they woke up in the morning, Rafeek found that 11 sovereigns of jewels, five cell phones and a cash of `25,000 have been stolen.Rafeek lodged a complaint with the Gandhi Market Police. Investigations are on.
