Geeta’s artistic talents have earned her acclaim not only in Karnataka but also in Kerala.
Geetha Bhatt, aged 37 and hailing from Kallabbe, Kumta, currently living in Navilugona, learned mandala art through YouTube videos during the COVID-19 pandemic. What started as a hobby has now transformed into a growing business venture for her. Initially, she honed her skills by sketching mandalas with a pen, but she has since expanded her repertoire to include painting mandalas of different sizes on wooden blocks and walls.
Geetha Bhatt specialises in crafting various products using her mandala art skills, with a particular focus on children. Her creations range from jewellery and rakhi to wall paintings, hangings, and digital artworks. Additionally, she offers items such as T-shirts, keychains, bookmarks, mirrors, and decorative pieces like FeÇeto Prem. Prices for her creations start from 150 and go up to 4000 rupees.
Mandala art, famous for its patterns and intricate designs, is said to help children concentrate better and create a calm atmosphere. Originating from Hinduism and the Vajrayana sect of Buddhism, mandala art is deeply rooted in culture and spirituality. Geetha Bhatt, who learned mandala art years ago, has become well-known for her artwork, which is highly praised on the internet.
