New Delhi: After 15 hours of blockade, students from Aligarh Muslim University finally ended their agitation. The students, who were demanding land for the Aligarh Muslim University proposed study centre, called off their protest late on Wednesday night.

Over 100 protestors from a student organisation were up in arms over the delay in Aligarh Muslim University's proposed campus in Kishenganj.
The protesters also blocked NH-31 for several hours and prevented the movement of vehicles between the two states even as Kishanganj town wore a deserted look as the local people ensured a virtual shutdown of all activities, sources said.
Meanwhile, Bihar HRD minister PK Shahi criticised Congress MP Maulana Asrarul Haque for playing politics over the proposed AMU study centre at Kishanganj by organising the protest.
