THIRUVANANTHAPURAM: The State Secretariat of Student’s Federation of India has flayed the move of KSRTC and private bus owners to increase the concession rate of students’ ticket disregarding the Transport Minister’s promise. In a statement issued here, the State Secretariat of SFI said that the Minister for Transport V S Sivakumar had earlier given word that the student’s ticket fare would be increased only by 25 per cent when the bus fares would be hiked. But KSRTC has disregarded this promise and hiked the students’ ticket fare by 87 per cent. The Minister should intervene immediately to resolve the situation, demanded the SFI State Secretariat.
