Land Encroachment: CM, Governor discuss report

BANGALORE: Chief Minister D V Sadananda Gowda met Governor H R Bhardwaj at Raj Bhavan here on Monday evening to discuss the V Balasubramanian Committee report on encroachments on government lands in the state. During the meeting, the Governor is said to have asked the government to act on it. Law and Parliamentary Affairs Minister Sureshkumar was also present during the meeting.    The report had identified encroachments on over 12 lakh acres of government lands across the state, particularly in and around Bangalore city where land prices are high.
