A. I think Left Front will come back to power in Tripura with huge margin. The reason: Credit for combating three decade old insurgency in the state and good governance.
Q. Does high turnout means removal of govt in Office? Asked by: srinivass
A. In Tripura high turnout does not mean removal of Govt in office. Turn out in the last elections held in 2008 was about 92 per cent.
Q. Does BJP stand any chance of making their present felt in assembly? Asked by: Ankit
A. The BJP had no electoral presence ever in Tripura and they have no chance this time also.
Q. How will be the performance of Trinamool Congress in this election? Asked by: Sathyaki
A. The Trinamool Congress did not participate. They supported opposition Congress. They did not want division of non left votes.
Q. Will the victory margin be the same/increase/decrease for the left? Asked by: Sathyaki
A. It will be more or less same.
Q. Is the Manik Sarkar-led Left going to ride back to power again or is a change of guards expected? Asked by: Deepak
A. No change of guard seems.
Q. Has the Manik Sarkar Government justified its long stint? Asked by: Sujan
A. I think so. The govt ruled the state better than former Congress- INPT alliance govt.
Q. Have the Left govt taken tribals along or are they banking on Bengali votes? Asked by: pramod
A. The Left has a very strong base among the tribals. CPI-M, the dominant partner of Left Front secured 19 seats out of the 20 seats reserved for the tribal.
Q. Why media portray Tripura as last bastion of CPM? Don't you think CPM is very strong in West Bengal and Kerela? Asked by: birendra Mishra
A. I can not say much about Kerala or West Bengal. But in Tripura they are very very strong. They could make their base strong due to implementation of the flagship programmes of the central government in the state.
Q. Do you think the royal scion stands any chance in the elections? Asked by: Karthik
A. Are you talking about Pradyot K Manikya Bahadur? He is the royal scion, but did not contest the elections.
Q. What are the strengths of left front in Tripura apart from organisational base & Manik Sarkar? Asked by: indranath daw
A. What can be the strength for a political party apart from it's organisational base? The Left Front did well in implementation of the central govt. sponsored projects and corruption is minimum. bureaucracy is clean and same are the ministers.
