'Lover' sells Chhattisgarh girl in Haryana
The 18-year-old girl was taken away from her village on pretext of marriage.

Raipur: A team of police officials will be sent to Haryana for rescuing an 18-year-old woman who was sold by her "lover", police said on Monday.

"We have registered an FIR (first information report) against Sujan Kumar of Orissa who had taken away the woman from her village on pretext of marriage and sold her to Rampal Singh at Haryana's Hisar district," said police officer posted at Dantewada's Konta block, B L Tirki.

He also said the victim had managed to telephone her relatives in Dantewada last week and informed that her lover had sold her at village Matrora for about Rs 63,000.

The victim is from Kukanar village in Maoist infested Konta area of Dantewada district, some 500 km south of state capital Raipur.
