The district and sessions court Judge Durga Dabar, who delivered the verdict on Monday, also imposed a fine of Rs 5,000 on Ashok Singh Rajput (35) for raping the woman on January 14, 2012 when she was returning home.
The incident had happened in Kevlari town in Seoni district, the prosecution said.
The court found Rajput guilty under sections 376 rape) and 506 (punishment for criminal intimidation) of the Indian Penal Code.
