Chennai: The MDMK led by pro-LTTE leader Vaiko has released its manifesto. Vaiko has joined the DMDK-BJP led alliance in Tamil Nadu.
The manifesto promises lifting of the ban on terrorist organisation LTTE and making Tamil one of the official languages in India.
Main points of the manifesto:
Increased autonomy to states: Centre to allocate 50 per cent of Central taxes income to states
Tamil as one of the official languages in country
Referendum in Lanka, separate Eelam the only solution
Implement 27 per cent reservation in educational institutions like IITs, IIMs and AIIMS
Promote secularism
Interlinking of rivers
Remove ban on LTTE
Abolish death penalty
