Meerut: 4-year-old girl raped, strangled to death

Meerut: A 4-year-old was raped and strangled to death in Majra village of Meerut district, police said on Thursday.

The victim went to the primary school in morning but didn't return home. Later, her semi-naked body, soaked in blood, was recovered from the jungle, police said. According to the postmortem report, the girl was strangled to death after the rape.

A complaint has been registered against an unidentified person by the victim's father, police said, adding, few youths from the village has been taken into custody for interrogation.
