Understanding of  GodIn my opinion, it is absolutely vain to even consider the pursuit of understanding God. However, it is that impossibility that drives me to know more about God, for in the journey, I get to understand God’s creation, among many other things that can be learned on the journey. Spiritual experience and religious practicesIf the spirit is not in the ritual, it then becomes religious. So I really don’t give much thought to either the spirit or religion. For me, giving my one hundred per cent to fellow human beings is equal to church and that is what I constantly strive for in my life. Favourite pilgrimagespotsUnconventional person that I am, I don’t have any favourite conventional pilgrimage spots. I very much enjoy being in places such as schools, colleges, training rooms, libraries and, of course, taverns. Any place that allows transfer of knowledge, provides food for thought and makes my brain work, I consider a place of spirituality. Faith in miraclesMiracles to fulfil my wish list and provide me with comfort. I abhor. Miracles are there for us to see. The greatest miracle of life is when I see the human will surfacing when everything around the person has collapsed. Take on meditation They say that meditation is about looking inward. I’m afraid that I am not cut out for that. (Benedict Gnaniah is a popular city-based corporate communicator and a voracious blogger.)
