Mumbai: Mumbai Police have granted permission to Maharashtra Navnirman Sena (MNS) chief Raj Thackeray to hold press conference.
Raj will hold a press conference on Friday at 1200 hrs IST in Mumbai.
The MNS leader is out on bail in connection with two cases charging him with rioting, unlawful assembly and promoting enmity between two groups.
A gag order against him will be in force till December 20. He cannot make public statements, including in the media.
Raj has been blaming North Indian migrants in Maharashtra of snatching away jobs from the Marathi people and of not respecting the local culture.
His party activists have been involved in attacking North Indians in Maharashtra and have also prevented candidates from Bihar and Uttar Pradesh from taking a railway recruitment examination in the state.
