Apple Maps is facing criticism from users globally for a number of geographical errors, missing information and because it lacks features that made Google Maps so popular, including public transit directions, comprehensive traffic data or street view pictures.

Motorola Mobility's updates on Google+, Facebook and Twitter show two phones, the Apple iPhone 5 and the recently unveiled Motorola Droid Razr M. The iPhone 5 has the Apple Maps with sketchy information, while Google Maps on the Razr M gives an impression of detail and precision.

In the first post, from September 22, Motorola Mobility comments, "Looking for 315 E 15th in Manhattan? Google Maps on DROID RAZR M will get you there & not #iLost in Brooklyn." A day later Motorola highlights another advantage that Google Maps has over its Apple rival, "Google Maps reports live traffic in green, yellow, and red to be as helpful as possible so you don't feel #iLost planning your trip."

Apple has been showcasing the 4-inch iPhone 5 as a phone that has been designed to comfortably fit user's hands, Motorola takes a jab at that too. "The real world that's fit for your hands reads the caption on the images. The 'real' is italicised for emphasis. The hashtag #iLost is placed below iPhone 5 image.

Apple Maps has replaced Google Maps, which is no longer available on iOS 6.
