MP IAS Officer Transferred for Praising Nehru Through Facebook Post
MP IAS Ajay Gangwar's praise for former PM Jawahar Lal Nehru's work through his Facebook post didn't go down well with the state establishment.

After his satirical comments praising first Prime Minister Jawaharlal Nehru's legacy went viral on Facebook, Madhya Pradesh cadre IAS officer and Barwani District Collector Ajay Gangwar,was transferred to the post of deputy secretary in the state Secretariat.

Praising Nehru further Gangwar added, “He (Nehru) preferred university over bovine house and he showed us a scientific approach than turning to superstitions.”

As the post went viral, top officials didn’t take the issue lightly and ordered a probe after which the Gangwar was transferred.

“The state government has transferred Barwani Collector Gangwar as Deputy Secretary in the Mantralaya in Bhopal,” an official order from the state public relations department read.

After the incident, Gangwar said he was just expressing his personal opinion and had no political intentions, adding that he doesn't want to comment on anything beyond that.
