Mumbai: In a startling revelation in the Sheena Bora murder case, investigating officer of the Mumbai Police Dinesh Kadam claimed that the sleuths had recovered a country made pistol and three live cartridges from Indrani Mukerjea's driver Shyamvar Rai.
Kadam in his statement said that Shyamvar had no license for holding the fire-arm and he was arrested under the arms act.
In a statement accessed by CNN-IBN, Kadam said that the sequence of crime was disclosed by Shyamvar, which was later admitted by Indrani and her former husband Sanjeev.
CNN-IBN has also accessed statement of Sidharth Das, Indrani's former husband. He said that he met Indrani when she was pursuing her BA from Lady Keane College in Shillong.
Das said they were in a live-in relationship from 1986. Sheena was born on February 1987 and Mikhail on September 1988.
He told police that Indrani left Guwahati in 1989 without informing anyone and she never returned.
On being asked by CBI, Sidharth said he did not know whether Upendra Bora is her biological father. He said Indrani never discussed anything about her being molested by her biological father Upendra Bora.
Das also said in the statement that after 1989, he never met Indrani. He never even tried because he knew she deliberately left him and his children for her future planning.
Sheena Bora was allegedly murdered by Indrani, Sanjeev and Shyamvar in April 2012. The body of the 24-year-old was dumped in a forest in the neighbouring Raigad district.
Indrani is in judicial custody and lodged at Byculla prison. She was arrested on August 25, 2015 in connection with her daughter Sheena’s murder.
Sheena was allegedly kidnapped from outside National College in Bandra and strangled to death in a car by Indrani, her former husband Sanjeev Khanna and driver Shyamvar Rai.
