My sole aim is to finish BJP: Uma

New Delhi: Bharatiya Janashakti (BJS) chief Uma Bharti on Friday said that her sole aim is to finish the BJP.

Though the BJS has not fielded any candidate for the Lok Sabha by-election in Gwalior, it should not be considered as a move to support the BJP nominee in that constituency, Bharti said.

Firmly ruling out her return to the BJP, she said her campaign against BJP candidate Yashodhara Raje Scindia was aimed at making it clear to all that she had snapped all ties with the saffron party for good.

Noting that her only objective was to finish off the BJP, Bharti said she would work in this direction the same way in which the late Vijayaraje Scindia worked to marginalise the Congress.

Hitting out at Yashodhara Raje, she said the state tourism minister should stop using Vijayaraje's name for political gains.

Describing Vijayaraje as her mother, she lashed out at other members of the Scindia family.
