THANJAVUR/COIMBATORE: Thanjavur police have taken M Natarajan, husband of Sasikala, and two others into one-day custody. The Judicial Magistrate court on Tuesday gave the verdict after police requested five days police custody for interrogation.Natarajan and six others are accused of land grabbing charges. Based on a complaint filed by Ramalingam (67), the Thanjavur district crime branch and anti land grab cell filed cases against Natarajan and six others in Thanjavur. Meanwhile, Marimuthu (85) the last accused in the land grab case was arrested by police on Tuesday.Ravanan in CourtRavanan, a relative of Sasikala, and his aide Mohan were produced before a court here on Tuesday. Ravanan, who is under judicial custody at the Puzhal prison, was taken into custody by a CCB team on a prisoner transit warrant. He and Mohan were produced before JM Nagaraj and the police pleaded for a three-day custody of the duo in connection with a cheating case filed by Ponnusamy, an AIADMK functionary. After hearing the counter petition filed by his counsel, the JM granted the cops a day’s custody of Mohan. The hearing on the plea seeking Ravanan’s custody was postponed to March 5.
