Jaipur: Congress MP Rahul Gandhi on Thursday surprised a conference when he said that the country was doing nothing for “national heroes of the Mumbai terror strike”.
"We have practically done nothing for the national heroes of the Mumbai terror strike,” said Rahul, hinting at Sub Inspector Tukaram G Omble, who was killed in the Mumbai attacks while apprehending terrorists.
Rahul, who is also the Congress general secretary, was speaking at the national conference on ''Police performance and Public perception'' at the Rajasthan Police Academy auditorium.
Around 100 senior Police Officers from the Centre and different States, Central security agencies, researchers and faculty members from management institutes and sociologists attended the conference.
