The counting of votes polled for the 32-member Sikkim Assembly and 50 seats of the 60-member Arunachal Pradesh Assembly is underway on Sunday. In Arunachal Pradesh, the counting commenced at 6 AM in 24 district headquarters, despite heavy rain across the state. The final results are expected to be out by noon, according to Chief Electoral Officer (CEO) Pawan Kumar Sain. Assembly and Lok Sabha elections were held simultaneously in Arunachal Pradesh in the first phase of polls on April 19.
