Melbourne: Say what you like about the Williams sisters, tennis's most famous double-act always sticks together.
Wimbledon champion Venus found herself in an unwelcome media spotlight on Wednesday after an Australian TV commentator admired her bottom on air during Tuesday night's victory at the Australian Open.
Serena, defending champion at Melbourne Park, was quizzed about his comments, made during a slow-motion shot of Venus's "posterior".
A non-plussed Serena had to be given a translation for the archaic reference.
"Oh, yeah, we say booty," she laughed. "I'm not quite sure about 'posterior'.
"I'll try to keep that in the back of my mind. 'What are you doing?' 'I'm shaking my posterior'," she giggled, before giving her honest assessment of the storm in a teacup.
"Venus definitely has a great posterior. I'm sure it looked nice."
