Obulapuram mining ban: Trucker, family end lives

CHITTOOR: The shutting down of mining operations in Obulapuram area in Anantapur district proved fatal for truck contractor P Nareshkumar Reddy, who committed suicide along with his wife and son in Punganur.
According to police, Reddy, 47, who turned to poultry business after selling away his two trucks engaged in iron ore transportation before, suffered loses in the new venture too, making him to resort to the extreme step along with wife P Vijetha, 36, and son P Rugved, 11, at his residence in Kothaindllu of Punganur.The tragic death of Reddy, his wife and son came to light on Monday when neighbours alerted police about the foul smell emanating from the house. Police forced opened the doors only to find Reddy and others lying dead.
